Clydesdale’s Arc Flash Hood with Ear Protection is designed to protect the wearer's head and neck from the thermal effects of an electric arc flash.

The hood features extended coverage over the ear area which is potentially vulnerable as the wearer’s first instinct in an electric arc incident is often to turn away, exposing the side of the head.

A lower apron portion provides two safety features – the first to deflect any heat and molten debris away from the wearer’s face. The second is to protect the wearer from inhaling gas and debris due to their own, natural reaction to inhale in shock.

The clear protective screen is fully removable for replacement or laundry.

To prevent scratching of the screen, the apron folds over the screen and fastens in place with Velcro, doubling as a protective cover.
